FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many words are in a blog post?

Sometimes I feel the best answer to this question is “How long is a piece of string?” And I don’t mean that to be crass. I mean that there isn’t really a set number of words to make a great blog post. Generally speaking, I aim for about 900 to 1000 words.

can i give you pictures for my post/s?

Absolutely! If you have pictures of your product or service – be they in action or flatlays or styled shots, whatever they may be – and you want them featured in the blog posts, please do send them my way. The images will help inform the writing, too.

How far in advance do you need to write?

For blog posts, one month in advance. This allows you to plan your content, for me to schedule my workflow, and for everything to be ready ahead of time.
For website copy (about pages, et cetera) it’s a little bit different. We work together to find a time that works within your timeline, for example you may be launching a new website or product.

Do you write newsletters and email sequences?

No. To be brutally honest with you, e-mail marketing is not my strong suit. I know that they are very similar but I am still trying to build my own e-mail marketing strategy! What I can do though is set them up from a technical perspective.

how do you know what to write?

We’ll chat over Zoom and discuss what you want your audience to know, to read, to feel. I’ll immerse myself in your brand, getting to know as much about it as I possibly can. And I’ll think like your audience, I’ll think about what it is that they want to know.

what is the turnaround time for a post?

Honestly, it differs for each post. Once we’ve had our briefing session, I’ll go away and research. This might take a day or two. Next, I’ll sit down for some solid writing, proofing, and editing. I’ll send it to you to review, and if you require any revisions, I’ll go back and rewrite and adjust. Then the review process starts again. Prices include up to three revisions. The more revising, the longer the completed post will take to get to you. If everything is tickety-boo, one post will take  about five business days. If there is a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, longer than five business days.

what if I don't have any images?

Don’t worry, I can source stock images to suit your brand and your post.
